Made the switch from PNC Bank (who is also running the same offer). Easy $300... I might do this every year
Anyone know how long you have to keep the account open? I couldn't see any strings besides the minimum balance and direct deposit requirement.

Doctor of Credit is a good place to look for bank account bonuses. Every write-up he does on a specific bonus has the same format, which includes a section on early termination.
If you decide to make bonus chasing for bank accounts a regular hobby, I suggest you read some of the fundamental articles on DoC to get grounded. E.g....

Awesome, thank you for sharing those links. I will read up on it more.
As a TD Bank stockholder I do hope you switch and stay with them for many years.
I haven't done any bank bonuses. They seem like a hassle enen though I can change where my money from my check goes online. Seems you would have to move around where all your withdrawls come from. Timing issues could be a pain.
@frogman1 Yeah this has caused me a little bit of anxiety... I shouldn't have done it when I have two loan payments currently processing and a credit card due soon. I handle payroll, so switching direct deposit accounts was easy for me too. Probably won't be doing this again...

When I did a bonus last year I was able to divert just $100 per pay period to the account to earn the bonus. I just drew a starter check to my main account after a few period to balance things out, then closed the account later. I haven't done this with TD (yet) though, or any bank requiring a high dollar amount to be DD'd.
Might mention the TD new account bonus is only available in states where they have branches, mainly Northeast US as I recall, definitely none in AZ.
Bank new account bonuses are easy extra money, I do a couple per year. Going to to do Chase this week for a $300 bonus. And yeah Doctor of Credit is a good source for bank/CC bonus info, but for some reason my home internet service is blocked for them, I can only access the site on my Verizon data on my phone and their mobile site is limited.
I joined TD Bank a week and a half ago and didn't notice a $300 bonus... Figures.

The banks must've gotten together and wrote to your ISP!
In seriousness though, Google "IP blacklist check" and see if you're listed anywhere. If you are, call your ISP and ask them for a new IP address.
