I have to admit it, but the only time that I use my debit card is to withdraw money out of the ATM ( at the bank facility). I went to the store today and the network was down and I was told that only debit was working, really? I left everything there and I walked away.
ATM is the only time I use mine. I don't even carry any of them with me. They all sit in a drawer at my shop with my checkbooks.
Refresh my memory please, what is a Debit Card?
why use a debit card when you can get rewards with a credit card............I think the merchant's make more off of debit cards though
I use the Target debit card (only at Target obviosuly)
And "gebit" cards can also be useful for those that do that sort of thing

Believe it or not I have a local restaurant that takes cash only and I had to use their ATM once. Funny thing is they are always packed.

I find myself doing this more since I have rewards cards now. I still use my debit card from time to time but nearly as much. I have U.S. Bank and they throw $1 per debit card transaction into my savings account each month from my checking account. I used to avg 50 swipes per month.....now in the 20s
i will when i get my high-yield reward checking account/s setup (kasasa).
ATM is the only time I see it. Before I realized the opportunities for reward earning via a credit card, I used my debit card for almost everything. Oh how I wish I had learned about this board and others earlier.
Never lol with the exception as others have said to take out money from the ATM if needed, other than that it's back to storing it away. I don't like the thought my debit card is a direct link to my account, therefore credit cards offer more protection whenever I'm purchasing anything. Also, I use my CC as a debit card anyway so I get as many points or cash back rewards then pay in full at the end of the month I don't spend what I don't have. I get nothing back using a debit in terms of rewards so I would never use it.
