XRP anyone?

I've never really gotten into crypto but I've been reading/hearing some positive things about XRP and its potential.  It reached its all time high at $3.60/coin this week.  Some experts predict a $5, $10, even $15 value by Q4 '25.  I was thinking about dabbling in XRP.  What do you guys think?

I'm not sure if there is a better platform than another for buying XRP but, since I already have a Robinhood account, I'd probably use that.

Re: XRP anyone?

While not in XRP specifically, I've dabbled just enough to not want to anymore.

A cursory search shows that one of the XRP founders has been selling a lot of his over the past months.  Maybe it doesn't mean anything, but that kind of thing when when going to new highs is always suspect.

Re: XRP anyone?

Everything about crypto logically sides closer towards tulip bulbs, and less about sound money.  I've seen die hard gold bugs completely modify their position, and jump on the crypto band wagon.  And since that  once sound logic has been "resigned" for lack of better words, why not compete so long as they want to keep propping it up?

XRP, or any altcoin, doesn't matter much.  XRP runs, Doge runs, bitcoin, etc.  They all run when they want to run.  And tank when they want to tank.  So long as there's an interest in propping them up, sure why not?

Lol, well that happens pretty much every time I put a chunk of money into something too. Hopefully you recover your $10 and then some.

This would drive me nuts. I don't like stocks for the same reason.

My son picked out XRP at $2.18 a few weeks ago.  It was just a $ 100 order  and now is at about $160.  Wishing it was a bigger order-ooh well.

The $10 might be a fee for the transaction.  Your position probably will  be >$1,000 at week's  end (hoping.)

Thanks 46.  $995 at the time of this writing, lol.  As far as I can tell, there were no fees.  The $990 ish happened slowly over some hours.  Maybe when I sell?  But I 'believe' Robinhood has no buy/sell fees.

Here is the Robinhood fee schedule for crypto, though I admittedly don't fully understand all the terminology.
