I absolutely love YNAB.
You know, I always found it strange when I hear people talk about not wanting to pay for a budget app. They'll pay for everything else regardless of the cost, which is what got them into debt in the first place. Hundreds to thousands of dollars in interest fees, etc, but when it comes to a top-of-the-line app for budgeting, NOW they want to the draw the line? And if you actually use the app, you would have no problem affording their fee.

Have you done their free trial?

@TheRedHat If they don't understand what YNAB is doing then it can be a serious challenge and can make things harder on a person as they are trying to learn. It doesn't work for everyone the way YNAB teaches.
If you understand it and you can use Excel or do paper accounting you don't actually "need" YNAB to do budgeting the way they are teaching.
I'm working myself on everything YNAB is teaching, just not spending the money on YNAB at the moment because I do know how to track everything "offline" using Excel and even paper accounting. Not everyone knows how to do that.
It's also why I prefer Checking/Debit/CC over Cash so I can monitor my spending better.

I have a lot of connection issue. They have trouble connecting some banks.....
Five years and still using this app, lol.

I've never heard of it, but they are currently offering a 34 day free trial, so I might check it out.

It's a great app.
On YouTube search YNAB TUTORIAL and watch the one by Nick True... he breaks down the app in such an easy way to understand. That will help during the trial to see if it's for you.

I will! Thank you!

I had this same issue and left them as a result a couple years ago, since then I have tried Copilot and Monarch, Copilot is the only one I did not have issues with which is weird since they all use the same backend services to sync transactions but I am still likely going back to ynab when my year of Monarch is up because it just works better for me personally than anything else I have tried.
