Adding in case anyone is looking currently, another option: PayPal savings is 3.75%, backed by synchrony and FDIC insured.

US Treasury I bonds are not as liquid as a savings account  but  is at 6.89% if you can park your  money for 5 years.

Yeah, that was a bit of a head-scratcher for me too.


My guess is this so that at a future time they can display different earning rates for each tier.   I've seen this recently. with several banks that used to have different rates each tier, now merging into one rate.   (And like above, still keeping the table, for future changes)

Paypal savings is at 4.15% as of today

us alliance is 4.25%
