I've read that Navy accounts can be funded with up to $250 by credit card when opening. Does this include accounts opened by phone, or does funding with a CC by phone result in a cash advance? Thanks.
Varies by card issuer, at the least
Use PayPal Key (debit drawing on your CC) to increase your chances of success
@Anonymous Are you talking about Funding your Checking/Savings?! If you fund it with a CC it will take it or read it as a Cash Advance payment (or read as a Cash Advance so just make sure you have enough CA funds to cover it)

Depends on the CC used?, most do.
The one I regularly use with no cash advance fee, is the Citi double cash card.
I funded my Navy Federal account opening with my Discover card and it counted it as a purchase. But I've heard mixed things about this.
Huh.. good to know. I ironically paid mine w a USAA cc and don't think I got charged extra. But now I know to watch out when using a cc to initially fund a bank account. I'd have to double check my records but I'm 99% sure I did it that way, w no known repercussions. I did this like a month or two ago
