5 point drop for me, 8 point drop for hubby!

Tax lien updated as "released" for hubby on EX dropped him down 8 points. For me, it was updated to released (although EQ SAID they'd delete the ^&%$# thing) on EQ and dropped me down 5. Smiley Sad

Sad thing is that all of our recent payments have updated (and EX and TU have added the CJ account for hubby). So one more month of payments wasn't enough to defray the updated tax lien hit.

Geez, this sucks. Smiley Sad

Sorry for whining ... just thought we'd see more progress by now. I've gotten several collections off DH's reports and one off mine, CJ is reporting for DH, and we've made more payments (and brought down more balances). Just didn't think this would be so freaking hard!! o_O

OTOH, ACS has updated our recent payments and updated how much we're supposed to pay ... but they have NOT updated to reflect the GW of the lates. Even though we paid AFTER they agreed to. Smiley Mad

PLEASE, please, please tell me that we're not seeing any real progress because we've been rebucketed!! Please!?

What are your scores now? The ones in your siggy say they are old.
Sadly, I don't think that you would be rebucketed for the tax lien saying released, I believe it would need to be removed to get rebucketed from that. Smiley Sad

Do you have any new accounts reporting this month? I took a hit for that. Maybe that's all it is for you, too and your efforts have not been nothing. I went from like 748 to around 730 for 2 new accounts reporting in the same month. I am waiting until my utilization reports back down below 5% (up from around 14% because I accidentally ended up with a balance reporting even though I PIF numerous times a month...they reported before payment posted. DRATS!) anyway...once I know all my cards have reported for this month, I plan to pull again to see if my scores are creeping back up.

Don't get discouraged, just keep plugging along, it will be worth it in the end.

Thanks oodles, Up, for the encouragement. Our scores are actually the same (though 5 points less for me on EQ and 8 points less for DH on EX). Frankly, I'm too d@mned scared to pull the others. Smiley Sad

The only thing that changed, really, was the tax lien. That's it. CJ was added to DH's EX, but FICO Sim predicted an increase from adding a new account (since we had no revolving previously) for TU and EQ ... I would have thought EX would see it the same way. Smiley Sad

For mine, the only thing that absolutely changed was the tax lien (incorrectly) being updated. EQ said it would delete the TL entirely. I'm thinking of calling them and royally screaming my head off. It just really sucks.

Hopefully, I tend to be more upbeat usually, so no one thinks I'm just a whiner like this ALL the time. :/

Just so bummed out it ain't even funny. Smiley Sad

Re: 5 point drop for me, 8 point drop for hubby!

You are one of the MOST upbeat, encouraging people on this forum so don't you dare go making excuses for being a little down! If it makes you feel better to scream at Equifax, by all means...while yer at it, can you put in a call to EX and tell them what bumbling idiots they are? They mess up everything for me all the time. Hate them.

It will work out. Seriously though, if EQ said they would delete, I'd be on them about that.
