74 point Variance between Transunion and Equifax Scores

I have just checked my 2 scores.  I have a 703  TU reporting 1 credit inquiry and Equifax reporting 3, score is 629.  Is this wide variance typical?  This is the only difference between these 2 reports.. Suggestions are welcome..

Re: 74 point Variance between Transunion and Equifax Scores

I was going to ask the same question. Is it typical to see such a huge variance between the two? Right now I have 646 with Equifax and 601 with Experian - both reporting basically the same thing with the exception of INQUIRIES.

Re: 74 point Variance between Transunion and Equifax Scores

I have always had a big difference in my TU and EQ scores. Fico TU says I have a 502, and Fico Equifax says 577. When looking at the reports where they scale what is helping and what is hurting, the complete opposite for EQ is what TU likes. My recent credit card usage after not using any credit for two years helped my EQ per the scale/report, (its like my only positive comment), the complete opposite for TU; TU hates my credit card use despite being at 8% util. Everything on my TU is on my EQ, exact duplicate so to say, but the scores are completely different. Very hard to find a good middle ground in the rebuild process.
