I have a old collection that is to old to be on my credit and is showing on myfico.com credit report however when I log onto equifax website dirtectly to dispute it it is not on there. Anyone know how to get this fixed?
MyFico doesn't populate their own credit reports, they rely on the reported information given by each CRA... if you really want an accurate credit report go to https://www.annualcreditreport.com/index.action and pull all three reports from there.
If you still find a discrepancy between your reports and what myFico is showing, you can contact myFico customer support and see if they can remedy the situation.
I've found myEquifax to not be completely reliable in what it shows on reports. As an example, most of my wife's old late payments show the wrong severity (e.g. 90D for a 30), but only on that site. Like @JoeRockhead said, I'd pull your EQ report at https://www.annualcreditreport.com/ to check which CMS is showing incorrect info. If the CA is actually on your EQ report and past its reporting age, I think you can dispute it there directly.
