ANYONE with Wells Fargo GW success?

I just spent the better part of an hour searching every Wells Fargo Goodwill related thread on here and there are VERY few examples of anyone receiving a goodwill adjustment from them.  The couple of people that posted success were from 7-8 years ago and haven't logged in to this forum in years.

I've sent 3 rounds of GW letters to 6 different Wells Fargo addresses (18 total letters) over the last couple of months.  I've received a couple of letters back simply stating that someone would contact me via phone.  I have received a few calls from the Executive Office and they always same the same thing.  After reviewing the account, all information reported was accurate so we are unable to make any adjustments or some derivative of that.  I've asked the EO when on the phone if I could speak to someone else and they always say no.

Today I sent an email to the CEO.  I'm not expecting anything except another call back from the EO, most likely, with the same response.

If anyone has had any GW success at all with Wells Fargo it would be awesome if you could share any and all information that you have regarding it!  Thank you very much.

Re: ANYONE with Wells Fargo GW success?

I haven't gone up as far as you did, but no luck.  Check out my thread about WF on this same page.  I'm just wanting them to delete some negative comments.  I disputed with them, not the CRA's...they want to add a remark that they concluded the investigation and I disagree w/the results. Grrr.

Seriously, I have had this mortgage w/them since 2008- hit hard times shortly after. I've been current over 3 yrs now...still no mercy ha!

I'm asking questions also about another financer, not sure how these things work too much.

Re: ANYONE with Wells Fargo GW success?

It seems there are endless non-success stories with Wells Fargo.  It's a bit frustrating that they aren't at least able to bend a little.  Perhaps not adjust everything but at least a little something especially if payment history is otherwise good.

I got 3 lates deleted from my credit report from my mortage company (Nationstar) on my first try.  There's definitely no consistency at all between lenders.

Re: ANYONE with Wells Fargo GW success?

The worst part for me is the 120+ late-The most  I got behind at any given time was 3 months behind and that was becuase they wouldn't work with me at ALL to make partial payments (hit a very tough financial time) -they were demanding full balance or nothing-in fact I was told to send it what I could and NONE of that got applied until it hit a certain amount (the full amount due). When I finally was able to have them re-finance I thought all was 'forgiven' I had to wait and wait and wait for the review to finish to get the refinance and of course you aren't paying during that time and little did I know they continued to report those lates ...and so THOSE are hurting me the most.

Basically I had to wait till it was almost in foreclosure before they would work with me to re-finance.  HUGE damage to my credit.  Yes, the payments were lowered and I got a better interest rate (3.25 fixed) but they aren't budging.

I take responsibilty for those months that got behind...truth was once once got behind and I couldn't pay two months in full is snowballed.

Hey, guess it could have been worse, could have ended in foreclosure but trying to undo the damage now is tough.

Re: ANYONE with Wells Fargo GW success?

I hear you.  I've got a string of 30/60/90/120/150 on one of my closed (paid in full) accounts from 2012 that stung me hard.  An ex of mine stopped paying on something I co-signed with her and I didn't know until months later when the damage was already done.  Been working on getting those off too via goodwill letters.  The are a little older, but certainly more severe than just the 30/60/90 that I'm targeting with Wells Fargo.  I guess all we can do it keep sending letters.

My third batch of 6 letters went out yesterday, so next week I look to see if any responses come back via letter or phone call from the EO.  I'm hoping that persistence eventually pays off.  Perhaps the same person will receive my letter 2 or 3 times and eventually bend a bit, or maybe my "case" will be assigned to the same person in the EO a few times and they'll get tired of calling me and listening to me plead my case.  Who knows.  I've got no problem going through a roll of stamps over the course of the rest of the year to find out Smiley Happy  I'm hoping that someone on these forums at some point will chime in with a success story and/or lead to a contact that may yield a more favorable result.

Re: ANYONE with Wells Fargo GW success?

I continue to sent GW letters to Wells Fargo Home Mortgage to get lates removed or at least lowered to 30 day marks. No success yet, but I keep trying...

Re: ANYONE with Wells Fargo GW success?

Wells Fargo is absolutely terrible. Trying to get some 120 latest removed or at east marked as 30. I paid my mortgage on time last Feb(it was current). And in March when I called to pay I was told they couldn't take my payment because I was owed a past due. They couldn't figure out why and it took them 6 months to say they didn't have a clue and they took that $273 off my acct. But did not adjust my report. I'm pissed beyond belief as its now a year later no late but those latest from last year are keeping me from a home loan. I've done the dispute amd I get told it's accurate...

Re: ANYONE with Wells Fargo GW success?

OH UGH!!!!  I haven't dealt with Wells Fargo the bank, but I have dealt with Wells Fargo Dealer Services.    Three 90 days late on my report from 2010.   I've tried everything, to no avail.  I keep getting the same form letter...."we don't have enough information to investigage."    I've just given up, and will wait for the beginning of 2017 when they fall off.

I will never, ever do business with Wells Fargo, any branch of the business, again because of the experience I've had and that others have posted re: nonresponsiveness.
