So I tried Azeo last month and left $10 on my $1850 CC and other 2 at 0. It didn't improve my score for some reason from being $0 on all 3.
Should I try to carry 5% on my $1850 Cap1? Which comes out to $92. The $92 balance seems a little high but since it takes 8.9% and above, will I be okay to carry 5% on my 1 card and $0 on others?
Thanks,
Hi,
I am by no means an expert and am new here myself. I am guessing the reason your score didnt improve is because if you left $10 on a $1850 CL that is less than 1% which might as well be 0. I'd say go to 2% and see if that matters. I think the $10 was too little to make a difference.
@buildingafuture is correct based on what I have learnt so far.
1-9% of the CL needs to report, this is looking like 0 as others have said.
I don't think this is true. A $2 - $3 charge is enough to show activity on one card, which FICO wants. Anything reporting is rounded up to 1% for FICO scoring. The other forum talks about the $2 trick (for years now) and it works great. I've used it most months. Just let $2 report and you're fine. Pay all cards to zero and you lose 20 points. Have something between $2 and 1% report and it's all the same.
That's exactly what I thought. I read that it has to be greater than $3 so I left $10. Not sure why it didn't work though. Might try leaving a little higher balance this month.
Thanks for all your advise ![]()
