Account scheduled to continue on record until...

I have about 6 collection accounts  that all state this on my CR.  All of them are unpaid which I haven't heard anything from the CA or OR for years now.  I am curious is it best to leave these unpaid and wait for them to drop of my CR, call them up and see if they will settle for a lower amount, or PFD?  It sounds like from reading these forums if I make payments of any kind they will stay on my CR even longer...

Amex Blue Cash - 22.9k | CSR - 21.9k | Cap One Quicksilver MC - 18.5k | BofA Travel Rewards - 15k | Lowes - 15k | Citi DC - 13.2k | Discover IT Miles - 20.1k | Amazon Prime Visa - 6k | BofA BBR - 5.4k

Paying them will not make them stay longer.  They will drop off based on the date of first delinquency, not the date of last activity.

Whether of not to pay a debt is a personal decision.

Regarding the impacts of paying or not paying, a lot depends on what negative things can still happen, and what you are seeking.d

Is the debt still within SOL, leaving you without an SOL defense should they bring legal action?

How important is CR deletion to you prior to the normal CR deletion date of 7 1/2 years from the DOFD?
