So when I was young and dumb, I changed jobs because I wanted to grow myself. Unfortunately this turn out to be a bad move on my part. So I went 30 days late quite a few times with Toyota Financial Services. This started as 14 x 30d lates. It is now down to 11 x 30d lates. Thing is, I don't remember how I got it down.
I have read that some people have had good experiences with Toyota and GW letters, while others have gotten the standard... reporting accurately, illegal to change.
I wrecked my Toyota and ended up paying it off 7 months early.
What is weird is that it looks EX is reporting from 07/04 until the account was closed, while TU is only reporting since 08/2006. EX shows the days where I assume there were late payments as ND. EQ just shows as green.
So the last 30d late payment was Jan 2008. EX shows it as this: 30 days past due as of Jan 2008, May 2007 to Oct 2007, Jan 2007, Dec 2006, Oct 2006, Sep 2006
When I went to apply for a mortgage last summer, this was brought up even though it was past 4 years since there are so many lates on it.
Mind you, my current car payment, has 0 lates on it.
Suggestions?
bump?
You can send the OC GW letters to try to have the lates removed.
ND means no data available and green means you made a payment.
Do you think that Toyota will GW 11 lates from 5 years ago?
The only reason that I ask is that I have researched this as much as I could and found that sometimes they would remove 1 late, but most of the time people got back a reporting correctly letter.
I honestly couldn't tell you. Even though the impact of a 30 day late fades in about 2 years, I would at leat try for maybe the most recent two.
Yea, I would have thought they would have faded, but when I applied for a mortgage last year they sent this back that they wanted an explanation:
TOYOTA MTR 06/2004 08/2010 TYPE OF LOAN: AUTO DISPUTE
RESOLVED-CUSTOMER DISAGREES; PAID; CURRENT ACCOUNT/WAS 30 DAYS PAST DUE
DATE SIX TIMES OR MORE; CONSUMER DISPUTES AFTER RESOLUTION;
ACCOUNT PAID; DISPUTE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION
When I say faded, I mean the impact to your score. Those lates will be there until they fall off. Each late falls off 7 years from their occurence.
Well I fired off a nice goodwill letter explaining what happened and begging forgiveness. Even told them I want an FR-S too =) We shall see how long it takes to get a rejection email.
I just want it so that the loan officer has nothing to question.
Good luck!
So after a month I have received no response back from Toyota Financial.
So does anyone have any suggestions as to where I should fire off the next letter to?
Thanks.
