Got the card about 2-3 weeks ago, been using it and paying on it weekly.
Question : Am I doing this the right way for a CLI at the 3-4 month mark?
In credit steps, SL is $ 2,000.00 , gonna pay the uti below 9% before the statement date.
Usage + payment "should " = cli, right ?
Not in my experience. They did not tell you what your increase will be after so many (thought it was 5 for credit steps) on-time payments? I used mine very little the first few months and got a $2000 bump after a $300 SL.
You May be right, you May bee wrong.
But, keep in mind,
YMMV...

No, they did not tell me what my cli would be by completing the credit steps successfully!

The two main factors are going to be score improvement and usage. If your scores do not change much and your usage is low, you may only see a minimal increase.

Thanks for the reply!
Actually, after my last baddie fell off of EQ this week I've had a 50 + point increase with that CRA! Have zero baddies left...
Usage has been quite a bit, paid 3 times and will let about 8% report on the 28th.
This will be the 1st statement I've had since getting the card soooo, I do hope this helps !!

They will not pull your credit when you ask for a CLI - they simply refer to their last soft pull, which could be as long as three months ago. If denied just keep trying every few days.
