@quikj9 wrote:Quick update,
I was approved for the Discover It Secured card. Feels good to have another rewards card and 3 revolvers. My student loans will be rehabbed in a couple of months and I should be able to have my Wells Fargo charge off paid in full by the time they get picked up by my new servicer.
I'm hoping that my Discover secured card graduates in a decent amount of time and I get that sweet CLI. Does anyone know how soon I can change rewards programs from the Chrome to the Cashback with 5% rotating categories? I've seen some people say you can do it immediately and others say you have to wait until after your first statement.
Just got the disco secured for my SO. From what I have seen in all the DPs (read all 44 pages worth of a mega thread tonight) it looks like any time *after* first statement cuts you can request the PC to rotating categories. Many mentioned the first statement often cuts a few days after approval and has a $0 bal / $0 payment due and even that statement counts towards the 7 statement grad requirement. Of course, everything is YMMV.
Good luck!
I just paid my Wells Fargo charge off in full. That feels great to say. Truly does feel as if a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I'll cross some utilization thresholds whenever that balance reports $0.
Next month, I finish my student loan rehab, so that's the next major credit repair milestone for me.
Discover will allow me to change the rewards structure of my secured card to the 5% rotating categories towards the end of the month.
Here's the link, if anyone else prefers this method to calling customer service:

Hi! I have a paid collection account with Conserve. Do you think the school helped in getting it pulled off or did they change their mind?
First Thank you for your thread!
I also have an I.C Systems report for T-mobile. You say you sent a DV letter. And they removed it from your report due to not responding in a timely manner. Who is "they"? I.C Systems, or did you report you recieved no timely response from I.C Systems to CRA?
This T-mobile CA I.C Systems has me baffled since it does not show when lates first occured. I'm pretty sure they bought it. It once showed years ago around 2016 on my report. It made no sense to me since I was still a T-moblie customer in good standing. I disputed it and it was removed. Anyway, I now have Verizon so it is possible I might owe something to T-mobile, I'm not sure if my sons phone was paid off yet when we switched carriers. I never recieved anything from T-mobile. All is shows on credit report is a RED "N" for months of Dec 2019-Aug 2020. Jan-Nov 2019 says data unavailable. So I have no idea when this charge started just that collection account opened Oct 2019. I've Verizon since Dec 2017.
Thanks! I was wondering about this. I just got my Discover it card this month. I clicked the link you gave. It says I can't switch till 9/13/2020. GOOD TO KNOW!
@ampy I think the school may have helped get my collection with Conserve deleted. There wasn't any movement on my account until I spoke to my school about it.
To me, the timing indicates the school had a hand in Conserve deleting the account.

@KangiCosmos "They" refers to IC Systems. The letter from IC Systems stated that my account could not be verified in time, so it would be removed from the CRAs.

Thank you so much for the reply. This helps me. I would like to Verify mine too.
Finished my student loan rehab on 8/26 and they were transferred to Great Lakes today. Got the welcome email, set up my account and made sure that everything looked to be in order.
Looking forward to my credit reports updating to reflect the change.

I did rehab some years back.
Hopefully it works where they get rid of the late tradelines to better boost your scores. Congrats!
