Re: Any Chance of Lowering Interest on a Collections Account?

Have you read what Target agreement states about accruing interest when accoun is in collections.

For now I have no idea about this but will get back and post my thought

No, I have not looked into that; never thought to do that. But would it be the same considering there is a judgement?

Re: Any Chance of Lowering Interest on a Collections Account?

For sure. I am going to put more towards it, but I first want to take care of a couple, much much smaller, debts so that I can combine the monthly payments I was making towards those and just add it on to this one. I'm one of those people that I have to see things happening and be able to mark things off my list to keep me motivated! Lol ;0)

Wait. The law office told you that there would be no interest, and they had it on their notes, and they still charge you interest?? If it was me, I would call them back and try to push that issue maybe trying to talk to a supervisor.
Going forward, I was told by a credit lawyer that anytime payment arrangements are made with ANY company, you should ALWAYS get the arrangements in writing before you send them a dime. So what if it pisses them off… They are obligated to comply.
