I posted on this company in the past but since I am currently deployed I am having the hardest time getting this figured out.
I had Verizon try to bill me for an account I never had, they hit my credit report pretty hard I disputed it as invalid they wouldnt go away, this all happened about 10 years ago, verizon charged off and disapeared from my report.
meaning debt reported as valid by verizon back in 1998 delinquincy began then.
they stopped reporting a few years ago.
now this new company is reporting a debt as a new account with them (based on the verizon debt)
they have completely re aged this and I dont know what to do.
I am willing to pay legal fees to have these people dealt with.
I believe what they are doing is illegal and when I google their company name I read all about this happening to other people and this company likes to refuse to remove the reports stating they have a right to report and pursue this re aged debt.
I am looking to try to get thhis completely removed from my history, I have great credit these days and I cant afford to have this company attacking my credit.
Please help.
In my signature line there is a link to Freq. Requested Threads, click on that and look for the "re-aging" thread.
Do you have copies of your report back when this Verizon debt was being reported?
Your first step is going to be to dispute with the CRA "inaccurate FCRA compliance date".
