Backdated credit?

I know of some pleaces (like rent on your report) that can back date payments and give say a 24 month tradeline, do you guys and gals know of anywhere else that does this?  I think this would be a very fast way to improve credit if so.

Re: Backdated credit?

Being an AU(Authorized User) on a family member’s cc in good standing and low Utilization can be one.

I was thinking more of a primary, like an installment or something

Re: Backdated credit?

You mean being added to an installment loan?

Re: Backdated credit?

I had looked into the rent verified tradeline companies a while back and found one that said they would backdate rent payments, but a the time they were still working on being able to do that type of reporting. I never pursued it, so not sure if it would have worked or not.

Re: Backdated credit?

I don’t believe there are any that someone can just jump aboard. You can’t be added to an installment loan unless it is refinanced and then there wouldn’t be any back dating moving forward.

Re: Backdated credit?

@OP, I did the rental thing. It does add the tradeline but is not factored into scores. I added it to help when buying a house (demos what I could afford) and to help if I want with NACA program. It can only help. Ultimately, it only reported to TU and I cancelled service after a year or so. It's still reporting. Best wishes.

Re: Backdated credit?

That would be great to get backdated reporting for rent or something else that you’ve been paying on time for a few years. I’ve just never looked into anything like that or read anything to that nature...but, maybe others on the Forums would possibly know? Sorry. I figured you were referring to AU?
