I sent a honest and heartfelt GW letter to Capital One bank less than an hour ago and received a phone call from the President/Founder's office a few moments ago. Regrettably they were unwilling to delete my one 30 day late from 2007 however I must say I feel encouraged about the GWing process because I sure did not expect a phone call personally explaining to me why it is against their policy.
I got a call from the same place.... a woman spoke with me....
To say the least she was very nice an apologetic... but i know there is something they can do.
i actually work at a capital one bank, i've had questions about removing late payments off a credit history and i personally emailed (through the company email) the operations department and was told basically if it's not the companies fault they won't remove anything unless you have a lot of money. Seem's a little greedy and i was a little bit surprised but nonetheless it is what it is.
Wow Juan.....
Just Wow.......
And your sig has the wrong target credit score.

Jaun123 what do you (they) mean by have a lot of money? I do not carry a balance on this card so their is nothing to pay off so how would they know if I have a lot of money?
no meaning that it would take some moolah to make it worth their time to do that....
AKA Scamming
normally it'd require a checking account with us. it's really the same for overdraft charges. Only way to have one removed is by pressuring the agent with account closure which only would work if you have a large amount of money. and by large amount of money it'd have to be six figures.
no benjamin i didn't mean paying off the bank lol, you'd have to threaten them basically. but you'd need a substantial amount of leverage.
and i fixed it thanks ^_^
