So if ca refuses pay for delete I'm screwed then?
Not necessarily, medical debt typically is not sold by the OC and they just hire CAs to collect whats due, I would call the OC verify they still own and if so see if they will recall the collector in exchange for immediate full payment.

Wow, ok then you have to deal with whomever the CA is or their hired agent.
(DISCLAIMER- These are just my thoughts. I am NOT giving legal advice. Research this stuff on your own before taking any action.)
Something sounds fishy here. If the debt actually is medical debt, it cannot be sold to a CA. It would have to be itemized to make it valid and THAT would violate HIPAA. Your medical records can't be viewed by a third party without your written consent. If it were me, I'd ask the CA for Debt Validation. There are a couple of sample request letters online. You do have a right to that info. If they don't have all their ducks in a row, they will probably be VERY willing to work with you at that point.
Is it possible that this debt is simply a form of payment used to cover a medical bill? Such as Care Credit? If that's the case, it's simply unsecured debt. The itemization only needs to list the medical facility. You would be at the mercy of the CA at this point.
Google the HIPAA Letter Process follow it exactly as laid out. If you have problems finding the website or any questions PM me.
