Cap1 will do a soft pull. Since Cap1 is in the process of acquiring HSBC/Orchard Bank cards they transfer the request and it's a hard pull. I just came straight out and asked for a CLI.
Well I went thru this process and I have all 3 cards BB rewardzone, orchardbank and cap 1. I had one person call me specifically about the orchard and BB yesterday and another call me about the CAP 1 today...I think someone mentioned that they stated on the orchard and BB they would do a hard pull but on my cap 1 a soft pull. I havent seen any updates on the orchard or BB since my convo yesterday but she said she would call back and havent got that yet...of course with cap 1 I just got the call today and he said I should have some answer by Friday...we shall see

I just emailed Mr. Fairbanks. We'll see how it goes. I've had a Cap One Cash Reqards card witha $2k credit limit for 6 months now. I'd like to have that bumped to $5k or above. Does anyone know if there is an upper limit for the credit line of the Cash Rewards card? If I ask to be considered for a $10k credit line, will I come across as insane?
It's been two business days, and I haven't heard back. Should I email Mr. Fairbank again, or is there a better person/DL to email this request to? Or has this door finally been shut? Any thoughts?
Did you try requesting a cli through online chat? Or via the phone? I've noticed the eo office likes to see you've made other attempts at cli via the standard methods before trying to go through the eo. Also if you've only had the account for six months going the eo route might also be frowned upon, most of those that go this route have had a relationship with cap one a year at minimum or longer. Just fyi.

Edit: when I went this route for example it was after repeated attempts via online chat and phone to get a cli, and purely almost out of desperation I finally reached out to the eo office , I've been a cap one customer for almost eight years.
