Thank you in advance!
best of luck to everyone
just to close out my loop in this thread
received 250 bump on one of my cards, so both of my cap1s are 750. I asked for 500, they met me half way. Got some GECRB Love this week, so this just adds to my happy credit building week.
Can you please PM me the email address for the executive office? One of the biggest reasons I haven't asked for a CLI is because I don't want another ding from a HP. Thanks in advance.
Can you please PM me the email address for the executive office? I just got a capitol One secured card.--Thanks!!
Last Monday, I noticed that Capital One had charged me my ridiculous $45 annual fee. My Capital One card was paid off prior to the annual fee. My limit was, and had been for the past 5 years, $500. I received a score watch notification that my credit score had dropped an unbelievable 32 points because of the $45 charge! $45 on a $500 card puts you at 9% utilization, so I guess being that the card had a $0 balance, it drastically hurt my credit score. I called Capital One and told them that I wanted a credit limit increase and the annual fee waived. After 3 representatives, I heard a big "no" each time. I turned to this forum and Googled different Executive Office email addresses and went ahead with the request. The next day, a very understanding representative from the Executive Office returned my call and told me she would process my request (I requested the annual fee removed, cash back bonus, and a $3,500 limit). By Thursday afternoon she called back letting me know they were able to increase my limit to $3,000, waive the fee for this year and put 1% cash back bonus on the card. I am very pleased! If you feel you deserve it, which I did, ask. The credit limit increase will not come from a regular representative, it is a computer generated response and it takes all of 3 seconds for that NO to come through. Also a few other tips- as many others have said, you have to Google the email addresses and just try a few. Don't ask others for a copy of the email message they sent, send your own- each situation is unique and I don't think those in the Executive Office care to read the exact same email over and over again.
I just sent a request for both my CapOne cards - $750 CL and $2000 CL, asking for $2000 and $4000, respectively.
Just for reference, I've had the $2000 card for 4.5 years, no late pays, $750 card for 3 years, no late pays. My credit score was probably hovering barely around 600 when I got each of them, now TU and EQ are 700.
Will update!
Ok, got a call yesterday from the EO.
$2000 limit card, asked for $4000, raised to $2500 (a bit disappointed in such a small increase).
$750 limit card, asked for $2000, raised to $1500 (not bad, but being a rewards card it makes it more realistic to use for bills to get points).
can you please send me the email address....thanks in advance.
