Hello,
I made a settlement arrangement with capital one auto on a voluntary repossession 2016 Nissan Sentra. After auction I owed $2751.07 and I received a settlement offer of $412.66 that I accepted on 4/16/21. With the terms= $69 payments until by 9/14/21. I made the first payment on 4/16/21 and my ADHD self forgot (I always try to set up auto payments because I always forget). I happened to find the settlement letter this weekend and checked my bank and realized my mistake. They are closed over the long weekend. So I can't reach them until Tuesday. My question is... am I too late?? On one hand the agreement says I'll make monthly payments (item 2 on the agreement) but item 1 says I agree to pay off the amount of $412.66 by 9/14/21.
I can call and make the remaining balance $343.66 but will they still honor it??
If you have had experience with this, let me know. Or if you have any experience with something like it. I understand the final decision will be made by one entity and that is Capital auto.
That's a question we cannot answer for you. They can, and they will. But no one here will be able to tell you what they will choose to do. Please do let us know what happens after you speak to them, hopefully they will work with you.
I understand they will make a decision. You don't really need to chime in to tell me the obvious. I am asking if anyone has the point of view of having had this experience... and these forums are full of folks giving their experiences. Which is why I asked.
Lets all remember that comments must be inline with our FSR policy. I thank you all for your understanding.
