Capital one late payment deletion

Congrats!

I missed 2 payments on my Bergdorf Goodman credit card that's issued by Capital One. I just called Bergdorf on my lunch and explained to them why I missed those two payments. (I've caught up on the payments) Rep stated they only usually waive one late fee every 12 months but given my situation she will try to get both missed payment fees waived. I hope they do! Crossing fingers.

They will waive your fees but what you needed is late payment removed.

Usually when I ask for them to waive the fees, it also removes the late payment on my credit report. I'll check it in a few days and see.

Update on Bergdorf Goodman...they waived only one late fee (for December) the late fee for January 2020 wasn't waived. On my credit report, per CreditKarma, it did update and only shows one month I was late. Going to send letters in to see if they can remove the December late fee too.

Was the account charged off or you  just got behind for a short time?

I asked them to delete one which was aged and they refused. But I will try with the card paid off when I'm able to.

Can I just keeping sending the same letter to them with a new date?

Is there a better way than a mailed letter? I had asked them for a fax number and they said I would have to mail it.

Congratulations ,I have been on a mission witht them as well , this gives me hope .I have mailed 3 letters since the start of my gw deletion quest. I relieved in most cases of this type that a phone number was provided and a call back was given , was this your case as well? Should I include a number for contact from capital one?

I've been sending emails/letters since early 2019 without luck. They always call to say "no". 

My accounts are open and have been at 0 balance for over a year now (I use them but pay in full). 

I'll keep trying for sure
