Cell Collection is back on CR..... Help!

Well a cell phone collection from 06 that I had disputed /w the CRA's off of EQ and EX about a year ago, just now decides to show up on TU. I honestly do not remember if it was on TU before and after the EX/EQ removal TU just followed suit. Or if I never disputed with TU, because it was never on there. I am leaning towards the later.

So what the heck can I do now? I have a feeling that collection very well might show up back on either EQ or EX as well.

I never got a letter in the mail about the collection etc....

I KNOW they do not have any contracts with my signature on them.

I gather you do not have any copies of your documents, disputes etc. But if you have disputed with TU too in 2006, you will know cause CRAs have to communicate to you in writing, within 5 days of re-insertion of any account which was removed in the past. Likewise, you will know with respect to EQ and EX. However its a littler harder to re-insert accounts that were once removed from your credit file. But again YMMV.

Is it the same CA reporting as the one you disputed?

I know I never did dispute with TU, because back then, I only did online disputes (did not know any better). I am unable to access my TU directly from them online due to a error of my past login information that they cannot clear up (I tried, even talked to a very high up supervisor).

I am kicking myself for not keeping better records.

And DOFD, cannot tell you right now. Because....

It is gone again.... I use a daily puller. And it does not even show up on the report I pulled yesterday. It is like I was seeing things.

I just pulled a MyFico TU also (been awhile, so figured why now), and it doesn't show there either.

Well it showed back up again....

What should I do first? Dispute with the CA? DV? Was told because this is a Cell phone collection, it is out of the SOL. Do I have anything there?

The SOL you are referring to is just a defense if they decide to sue.

Sounds like a plan.

I tried to find some old reports (from when it was first reporting about a year ago). And it looks like this account in question never reported on TU in the first place.

So isn't it a violation for them to report this account without sending me a notice in advance? Even though the date opened was 10-2-06?
