Good morning!
I finally had to throw in the towel and accept defeat and file. Pride took a hit but i knew it was the right thing to do and i am now discharged as of 12/5/19. I have a new found appreciation for credit / budgeting and want to do it right. I no longer want to have 10+ cards but would prefer 3 ( eventually prime cards again) and that be it. Since discharge i have 3 cards for rebuild so far :
Mission Lane - $1000.00 (Credit Karma pre approved)
Credit one - $300.00 - Only card reporting so far
Ollo - $300.00 (Credit Karma pre approved)
Car Loan reaffirmed $17,500.00
I have disputed everything on reports and everything is reporting IIB/current. I cant remember my true scores off hand but all around 580sh but i plan on purchasing them in a month or so. I burned some big players so prime cards maybe out of reach for awhile but im totally cool with it.
Burned in chapter 7 :
Discover
NFCU
Capital one (charge off before filing so i wont try them again for 12 months)
Synchrony Paypal/Amazon
Chase
AMEX AU (technially no balance reporting and just authorized but attorney recommended just in case)
Since i have my 3 cards and an installment loan , should i let everything age? I REALLY want to get rid of credit one because they really make me uncomfortable but they are just there for rebuild.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Congrats @paul26
Stay right where your at for at least a year. More is not better. Doesnt raise your scores for now. You dont have to use the Credit One card. Get a tank of gas and PIF. But do have 1 card report a balance although. Your sitting pretty for now. In a year hit up Disco and Cap1. Happy New Year!
