Re: Charge Off-how should I approach?

Just remember that as long as the debt is not paid, you face the chance of referral or sale of the debt to a debt collector, and thus the possible posting of a CA to your CR, or worse yet, as the debt grows, the chance of legal action.  PFD offers are not without risk.

Re: Charge Off-how should I approach?

Cap1 is notorious for adding on fees every month then sending to a CA.  My CC limit was $500, which I never came close to the limit, then got charged off for $800+, which I ended up paying in full to the CA, only to have a CO noted on my reports TWICE, the first being the CO date, the second being the date I paid in full.  Haven't been able to get in removed, despite the DOFD being reported differently on my reports, a couple of disputes(based on DOFD), and GW letters.  They are a tough cookie to crack, and I do not recall ever seeing a post on here that GW was successful with Cap1, although some may exist somewhere.  Good luck.
