I had a Reflex credit card through Celtic Bank that was serviced by Continental Finance. I got into a mess a couple of years ago and let the account default and it charged off. I entered into a payment agreement with them and paid the balance off in full a few months ago. They reported it as paid after charge off. I called them about a week and a half ago and asked if the charge off might be removed as an act of goodwill and the representative I spoke with gave me a fax number and told me I could fax a goodwill letter to it and that it would go to the department that could make that decision. I have not heard back and its been a couple of weeks. I was wondering if anyone has had success with this company and if anyone would have any advise? Thanks!
Good Luck with your CO removal.

It is unlikely that you will get the charge off removed. Original creditors rarely do this. However, there are some reports on these boards of a few members have had some success. I don't believe them. Creditors are entitled to what we owe, and we are not entitled to a GW removal. A request for removal cannot hurt, but the most important thing is that the charge off is paid and there is no resultant collection.
Thank you! I have it paid in full so if they don't remove it I believe it will just focus in rebuilding from here.
@Anonymous i know this post is old but did you ever get this removed? Also, can i have the fax # she gave you to send the goodwill letter to?
