Citi Approval metrics changing?

Im kinda shocked, I app'ed for a Citi Aadvantage card on Sunday, not thinking I would get it because of a high number of inquiries, got the below email:

 

Thank you for your interest in the Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® Card account. We're reviewing your application submitted on 03/25/2018 and will get back to you within 7-10 days.

 

Today,

I got this email...

 

Congratulations, you've been approved!
We're delighted to let you know you've been approved for the Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® card, with a credit limit of $7,000. Your account is considered open as of today, 03/27/18.

Your card should be arriving in 7-10 days in a plain white envelope. To start enjoying the many benefits of your card, activate it as soon as it arrives.

Thank you for choosing Citi for your financial needs!

 

So, has Citi changed their approval requirements? This is also the highest limit bank card that I have now.

Congrats on your new card!  Can you share which credit bureau they pulled from?

I can't find anything yet, unless, they used the one they pulled for Home Depot, which was apped the same day.  That one was equifax.
