Does anyone know if a collection account is reporting for a debt on your credit reports..but the OC has dropped off...in this case SYNCB, if you can get the collection removed?

My fiance had a charged off TJMAXX card that was purged a few months ago, but Midland is still reporting on it.

 This is because the debt was most likely sold to the CA. You need to pay what is owed or settle for less. Either way they will remove from your report as soon as you pay what is due.

Do you know if it is possible to obtain a mortgage with paid collections on your report?

Two of the charged off accounts on my report will not ever do a goodwill deletion.

Target denied my GW request.

The account did not charge off, but contains a 120 day late.

I then paid the account off.

Their letter was just a boilerplate "we are obligated to report accurate info".

Any idea for a rebuttal?

Additionally, accounts are sold upon charge off, and as such Mr....credit bureau report was updated to reflect that the account was sold and that he no longer owes The Bank of Missouri.

In regards to Mr.x's account is currently reporting as a $0.00 balance owed to The Bank of Missouri due to the debt being charged off; however, the charged off amount of $2,013.79 will be sold/transferred to a debt buyer. If Mr.x is able to pay the balance in full, we would recommend he immediately contact our office at 1-866-453-2636

Um..in one paragraph it says it was sold, and then in the next, it says it will be sold..

Your rebuttal is that they technically don't have to report anything, hence they could, in theory just not report ANY payment data for that particular month/string of months.

Genesis FS / Helzberg Diamonds replied to my BBB complaint.

Genesis says the account was zeroed out because they bought it from "The Bank of Missouri".

However I called TBOM and they said they do not generate credit accounts for Genesis FS. They only lend them to the money to do so.

Beyond that..I've never heard of a card issuer/services buying an account from a bank like this.

They keep claiming that The Bank of Missouri is the OC. The manager at Genesis said that.

I even called the manager of the retail credit division of The Bank of Missouri and they said this is not true.

I am getting irritated, because Genesis wants to keep passing the buck.

It just depends on the creditor. Some choose to keep updating negatively every month and suppressing your scores, others let it be, but come after you via the courts.
