Re: Clearing Lien

Has it been paid?

If so, dispute with the CRA as "obsolete, lien was filed in XXXX, making it 20 years old."

Re: Clearing Lien

I'm going through this right now. I had 7 leins reporting. EQ wanted proof of satisfied dates because they were showing unpaid.  I went to the courthouse (clerk of courts) and looked up the docket number of the lein. (The CRA usually shows the number.)   The docket page has a red stamp with the date paid.

I wrote them down and called EQ back.  Gave them the dates (which were over 12 yrs old) and now they are "investigating".  Those should drop off.  I found 2 of the leins dated 03' so I'll give them that date, and hopeflly will fall off in 1 year.  It's not too painful of a process.  Now I wait. 2 they removed, 3 more have to be, and 2 have 1 yr to go...
