I have a collection that has been paid and CA agreed to delete. I was paid back in May. The CA sent over the request to all 3B’s. It has since been deleted from TU and EQ within a month(June) of being paid. It has not yet been deleted from EX. This is going on 5 months now and the CA has put in several requests for it to be deleted!! It still shows the balance but, not updating. There is a notation on the account that it still in dispute(I disputed it back in 2015 before finding MyFICO) Could that be the reason it hasn’t been deleted or keeping it from being deleted????
This is 5 mos with several requests from CA and they still haven’t deleted this thing. Do I MOV CRA??

Do you have documentation with the deletion agreement? If so, you can submit that to EX. If not, reach out to the CFPB; they tend to grab attention in the credit world.

Well, I couldn’t acquire the “written” agreement but, was definitely granted the deletion “agreement” as it has been removed from TU and EQ and I haven’t doubted their sincerity, since they have been put in requests and requests to have deleted. You’re right though, I could have just sent a copy of “written” into EX and went that route. I’m going to call and see if they can send/email me “written” again, they stated they don’t do that...so, I’ll ask again...?

They stated they NO LONGER have it in their office and they wouldn’t be able, or willing, may I say, as they have put it...validate and it should be removed then. We shall see? Again, i was instructed to. Regardless of whether or not it gets deleted(?) it is still reporting inaccurately, as it still shows the full balance and THAT is inaccurate...it was PIF. So, on the half-chance that it updates and doesn’t get deleted...at least it’ll report accurately.
Hey! On a good note, though, I was able to get 2 inquiries deleted early(are due to drop on the 10th and 28th) so, that was a plus. Have one more in Dec, too. Dispute Speceialist said call back Dec 1st and they’ll remove that one early, as well. That’ll then leave me 2 inq’s for the New Year. 😉
I’ll just wait on TU and EQ for inq’s to drop on their own. I’m DONE with phone calls today!!🙄
