Collection question

Does the collection agency have to give you some kind of notice and time to respond to that notice before they report the account on your CR?

Thanks!

Re: Collection question

I never received a notice of any sort that they were going to report.  Can I dispute this on my CR and use this as my reason for dispute?

You can, but I doubt that it will accomplish anything.

Only "financial institutions" are required to notify you that they may or have reported.

TU does have an option on the online dispute "I have no knowledge of this collection" or something to that effect.

Re: Collection question

It's only reported on EQ and the date it was reported is 4/08.  The CA is Fair collections & Outsourcing and I hear they refuse to work with you in any way.  Don't know what to do from here.  Any suggestions?

Re: Collection question

That recent collection is not good at all...you just have to try...DV them...wait for verification...then if they verify...PFD...if they disagree...maybe you should pay..them GW for removal..I would try to read up as much as I can from other people experiences with them...there might be one person on here...who has had success with them...in some way...just search them in the search box...and read all you can...
