Collection with "date assigned Dec, 2006"

Hello _ i live in NJ and have 2 collections I'm trying to clear up on Equifax.  One says date assigned 2006.  The  other says April 2008.  The first 30 day was round July 2006, doe the SOL start on first DOL or date assigned?  Anyone know what it is for NJ to appear on credit reports. I'm hearing 7 years?  I lived in NJ at the time of the collections.

I'm sorry.  I meant, how long will these appear, not so much concerned with SOL.. THey are $23 and $190 so I"m not worried about being chased down, just want them gone!!!  7 years from DOFL is like next year..

It goes by the DOFD, Date of First Delinquincy which will be sometime in 2006 judging by your post.  The date assigned doesn't matter, that's just when the CA got the debt.  Where did you get your CR from?  If you pull your annual free reports from annualcreditreport.com then it should list this.  EQ will show a DOFD then you add 7 years and 180 days to that to get the CRTP and on TU and EX it will give an estimated date this is to be removed.
