Can someone answer this?

My husband just checked his ck and there is a new collection on his report. It says Comcast 1. Funny thing is we have Comcast for the past 7 years. Never missed a payment. My question is how long after burning a creditor can they list it on your report. I'm not 100% certain that he hasn't burned them, but I do know he hasn't burned them in the past 7 years.

Also if he did burn them years ago, would they give him another Comcast account? Because that makes no sense. If it was that old and they let him back in, isn't it past the statue of limitations?

More likely its a case of mistaken ID. Call Comcast and see if they can straighten it out.
