Collections accounts help???

I have a fees collections accounts that I really don't know what to do.  Two from Midland funding and the other two from Porfolio. All of them will be deleted of the CRA in about 14 months. Total about 8k.  I also have a repo from BMW for 35k. BMW will be delete in October 2023. Not going to pay that back for sure. My questions is. Should I take care of the collections accounts now or leave it for deletion?  Are those two collection agencies willing to do a settlement for delete or it must be paid in full? I started to seriously rebuild my credit in March 2023. I tried to rebuild my credit since 2021, but didn't really know what to do except getting my utilization down to under 6%. I didn't really know the utilization effects the scores that much. It's from low 500s to mid 600s. Got helped from credit repairs company and I felt it doesn't go anywhere. I think the best they did was tackle the 3 accounts that still reporting over limit since 2017 was BoA, Disco and Macy's. I paid them off and the scores jump a bit to high 600s. They told me to wait for letters in about 45 days. It has been almost 4 months and still no letters from anyone. I gave up on them and started on my own investigation. In April I got cli from two Cap1 QS. I was pre approved for a bunch of Amex cards in May (Platinum, Gold, Delta, Everyday Cash) not sure if there was a Blue Cash Preferred. But I ignorantly appd for Amex Platinum instead of the credit cards with a credit line. Doesn't know about credit utilization and a higher limit cards instead of all the bucket card I currently have. I went on a crazy appd spree in 2021 with Credit One, Merrick Bank, Indigo, Milestone, Verve. They all gave me about $500-1k limit. I was so excited that they started giving me credit cards again. I gave up on those cards since it's never grow. After appd for Amex Platinum, I wasn't able to apply for any other personal credit from Amex. But they'd let me have their business credit cards. Business Prime 5k, Delta Reserve 8k. I just opened a checking and savings account with PenFed. Honestly, I'm hoping to get a few personal credit cards to up my total available credit. I'm planning to use their mortgage for my real estate investments whenever the repo are off. Almost all negatives will be gone in 8 to 14 months. I'll be almost fresh from baddies by then. All opinions are welcome. Thanks all for reading.

Re: Collections accounts help???

Midland and Portfolio will delete after settlement or PIF. So they'll be gone. Who knows if BMW will go legal. Fix whats broken first so better things can happen down the road. Let the spree cards age for a year in the meantime. Good job and paying down your debt. More accounts doesnt mean higher scores. Time and fixing the past makes the future better.

@FireMedic1 "Who knows if BMW will go legal."

That's exactly what I was worrying about if I paid down all the collections. And on a side note. Whenever I finances cars, I usually by the Gap insurance. I do not know that Gap insurance would paid off the remaining balance even when you got repod. They consider that a total lost?  I've read that over a few posts and hear from some YouTube bloggers. I'm not sure if that's true. I've moved so many time over the course of 5 years, I don't know where I put the car financing contract or lost it along the way. I have no idea who to contact in regards of the Gap insurance. Maybe that's the reasons they didn't go legal against me? None of the credit cards companies go legal except BoA, they'd won since I didn't contest. But they didn't file the judgment or garnish my income. Maybe because I lived in Texas, we have different rules? I heard that from a few sources. Thank you for your inputs.
