Collections question

Ok. So I have been going back and forth with my doctors office regarding 2 no show fees that they sent me to collections for. Both fees were for 50.00 so together of course that took me at the 100.00 magical number. They should have never charged me one of them so I went back and forth with them to get the to waive one of those fees due to their mistake and for them to update the collections agency. So, they finally did. They didnt agree that they made a mistake but did say they were waiving one of the fees and would update the collections agency. They updated the collections agency but the collections agency lowered the balance and not the original amount. So, now my credit report is showing an original amount of 100.00 and a balance of 50. I called the collections people and told them they needed to accurately report that my account with them is only 50.00 and not 100.00 as the doctors office advised them that one of the accounts were taken off. They are refusing and saying that the original amount is still the same and only the balance would change and directed me to the credit bureaus to file a dispute. I did that but again the account came back verified. I dont know what to do here. Any thoughts would be much appreciated

Re: Collections question

Oh and to add...experian and transunion immediately deleted the tradelines for the collections agency. Equifax is being so stubborn

Re: Collections question

File a complaint with the CFPB for the collection agency not validating the debt. It should be off your report in 2 weeks.
