Re: Credit Collection Services (CCS)

I just checked my credit report and CCS DID IN FACT DELETE the collection as they stated they would WITHOUT their being a PFD in writing. It took less than a week to do so!!

Told you!! lol Smiley Happy  Great to hear, I had the same experience.  I think it's a new day and age when dealing with these agencies.  I think putting it in writing is not good for them, since it may be violating some sort of credit law or something lol.

Re: Credit Collection Services (CCS)

Call in. I did the same thing $100 from progressive insurance. Paid in full - deleted from CR in about a week. Very nice people to deal with.

Re: Credit Collection Services (CCS)

Yeah, I just sent them a DV...bc I think they AND another CA has a tradeline for same debt. Exact same amount, but few months difference. as if one CA had it first then CCs got it. The acct numbers are diffeent so not sure if this is their "acct" for me or the OC's acct. All I know...is that I did not have a Time Warner acct 4/2013, then another acct 12/2013...So now i'm waiting to hear back from both of them on the Dv's...

I just have to chime in here and say these guys are great to work with. I think westo is right, it IS a new day and age and there are a couple that are at the forefront . . . these guys and Ad Astra. I had two collections for small amounts (under $300) that just popped up from 3 or 4 years ago. Debts, that fell through the cracks that I had completely forgotten about. CCS had obtained them and they sent me first notices about both 2 months ago. They never made it to my credit reports because I called and paid them right away. One I made a two payment arrangement on. I told them the last payment on the one acct fell on a date AFTER the date the notice said it "may be reported to credit bureaus. They guy reassured me that even if it did get reported, they would delete it after it was paid anyway. Ad Astra is another great one and they will PFD. Not sure if it is dependent on the rep you get or not, but in May, I paid these guys on a $785 collection that had been reporting for about 3 years. After she told me it would be updated on the reports, I said, "Well I was really hoping your guys might do a pay for delete on this." She was totally responsive and set it up. They deleted within 4 days . . . even before I finished paying them off! Good stuff, good stuff . . . congrats to the OP!
