The same thing just happened to me. And I don't have any accidents or tickets either. Probably just another fictional number CK came up with.

If you look in the CK "Credit Advice" section under the auto insurance topic, you'll see that virtually every question there, stretching back for months is, "I have a clean driving record and excellent credit. How can by auto insurance score be so horrible?"

Nobody even bothers to answer those questions any more.

Funny, every article on insurance scoring states -- endlessly -- that having good credit is the "secret" to having a good auto insurance score. Nobody ever addresses the question of why the system is so dreadfully broken (assuming CK's scores have the slightest relationship to reality).

I have fine credit and not so much as a traffic ticket in 20 years. But I recently lost more than 100 points off my CK auto score simply by opening a store card. Since then, I've gotten credit line increases, dropped my utilization in half, and still not had a single blot on my driving record. And there the score sits, not having gone up a single point. It's a good thing my insurance company doesn't know that CK thinks I'm a "very poor risk."

Any inquiry will cause a significant drop in your Insurance Score on CK.  The best guess I have on this is their assumption you are applying for credit while driving and using your phone.   Smiley Happy
