People like CCT because they are the only source in which you can pull the 3 bureau reports everyday. When it comes to FICO scores, the only site you can get it from is myfico and equifax (score watch).

So you're saying that you can pull my reports every day for free or just have the ability to? I can pull from here but they're going to charge me every time I do it, right? And if so, am I to understand that I will only be able to pull the reports on a daily basis for free once my 7-day trial has expired?

Mays, your are absolutely right. You can pull the trimerge reports on a daily basis once the trial is over (included in your subscription).

Re: CreditCheck(R) Total

Ok, so I wanna make sure I am understanding this...

credit check total is not affiliated with myFICO at all.

They charge 11.95 a month (9.95 if u threaten to cancel) and you can update your report daily?

I used to use true credit, but you can't update daily anymore.

I also tried Chase ID protection (i think that's what it is called) and I hated it.  The layout was difficult to understand (IMO).

We are in the midst of the HIPAA process and it would be nice to see our reports from day to day without having to shell out $15 a pop.  I'm not worried about the score at this point.  I intend to keep ScoreWatch and will pull TU in a few months when we are going to do something major.

CCT has ZERO to do with myFICO. If not said before: Ignore CCT's scores. You can update daily. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think that you are initially stuck in a week or so holding period before you can pull more reports. I was annoyed at this in the beginning but everything worked out eventually.

Also as a CCT user, you can get your CRs directly from EX so you can see the soft pulls, more history, addresses, drop off dates, better detail, etc. You'd initiate a dispute, and they'll give you a free report (just don't dispute).

Re: CreditCheck(R) Total

So I thought the fee was 11.95.  I just checked out their website and it said 19.95.

I went to a different website and then back to CCT and it says that the fee is 29.95 monthly!

WTH!!

Re: CreditCheck(R) Total

bump.

I'm thinking about CCT for my reports. Has anyone subscribed for less than $19.95 (recently)?

Also, is it true that they don't allow you to update daily until after the free trial?

Thanks.

Re: CreditCheck(R) Total

I just recently signed up with CCT for a free trial and when I called to cancel they offered $9.95. I don't like their reports so I cancelled it anyway but I think its common practice to slash the price in half when you threaten to cancel.

Also, is it true that they don't allow you to update daily until after the free trial? Yes, you can't update daily until after the 7-day free trial is over. After that, you can pull reports daily at no cost.

Thanks.

I'm in the process of buying my first home and found the site very helpful in determining any credit reporting data changes before my closing date. It doesn't provide you with as much data as you would receive from an individual report purchased from any of the CRA's but it's still useful information IMHO.

Hope that helps.

Re: CreditCheck(R) Total

Quick question  - I signed up for the free trial at $19.99 - with the intention of cancelling and getting the offer for $9.99/mo and using that.

So, I called and cancelled and they just said - "ok" - no offer to continue for less $.  I did say that i liked the service but it was too much... no bites no offers nothing ...... ahh shoot - now what?

The rep did say that I would get an email confirming cancellation - did anyone get an offer for the reduced rate in the email?    When I log back on  - it says subscription expired and offers to provide credit check premium for $12.95 which includes

Daily Monitoring of ALL 3 Credit Reports

Email Alerts of key changes to ALL 3 Credit Reports

Dedicated Representatives for Identity Theft Victims

unlimited Experian Credit Report
unlimited Experian Credit Score

This is different from the CCT - as it does not offer unlimited access to EQ or TU - correct?

TIA

Re: CreditCheck(R) Total

ukdebc, sounds like what you have is something offered from freecreditreport.com, which is also owned by EX. They only show EX.

Re: CreditCheck(R) Total

The free trial was definitely for Credit Check Total - I got the three reports and the FAKO scores for 7 days - with the monthly fee of 19.99 once the free trial was over.

The other options were the "lower cost - lower features" offerings as in only reports from Ex

 - Now I need to figure if I want to pay $19.99 or find something similar - I was under the impression that CCT was the only product that allows unlimited access to the 3 bureau credit reports......

Any suggestions for alternate products...

thanks
