I have a number of bad one coming off my report between now and June.
1. How long before the 7 year mark should I be trying to Ask Credit Bureau's to remove these item's??
2. There are two items that Experian is stating that last activity date " NOT AVAILABLE" This is from 3 bureau credit report dated 2/12/16 here from myfico credit reports score 8.
How can they keep reporting it if they don't have a date of last activity????
Thanks in advance to all the great folks here on Myfico forums. You're a big help to all of us trying to improve our credit scores.
Date of last activity has nothing to do with credit report exclusion.
Credit report exclusion dates are all based on a factor that relates to when the derog occured, such as date of a monthly delinquency, for a DOFD.
Additionally, the fact that your commerical credit report makes a statement that the date of last activity is unavailable is meaningless.
There is always a date when the last activity, be it reporting by the furnisher or some act by the consumer, occured.
It is not the concern of the furnisher that the party vending the credit report labels the date a last activity occured as not being identified in the credit report.
So theynwhat the hell is the sense in paying good money to purchase crdit report here on myfico then??
Paying for MyFico has NOTHING to do with the law or the reporting rules
nor how to talently use the system in ones favor....
But you just sound a bit less than willing to 'hear' about needs to be done vs
being annoyed with the realities of life and the position you're working from.
Wow I see you've been a member here for a short period of time with limited posts. Must be nice to think you have all the info. FYI, the reason I'm here is to get straight scoop verses all the miss information. Buying a myfico credit report doens't give you fall off dates. That's what I've learned
Paying for myFICO can clearly be a means to determine whether furnishers and/or CRAs are complying with the FCRA.
One cannot determine compliance with federal credit reporting requirments unless one has a report based on their file.

My comment was made based upon 'mood' of the above statement, friend
And, to follow up with what appears as a snide personal attack...
"you've been a member here for a short period of time with limited posts. Must be nice to think you have all the info"
with the same 'vibe' of 'what the?'
I tried to offer constructive info towards what the 'point' is vs seeming to just 'complain' about what the service
doesn't promise to do.
A human being must interpret the information and use it properly or ask for help, which is exactly the point I was
making.
The issue, I took with your position was "what the hell is the sense in paying good money " ...that sorry, to say is just
shortsighted.
Providing INFORMATION is NOT the same as interpretation nor is it knowing HOW TO USE it properly they sell access
to info..I wasn't trying to be flip I'm trying to help people NOT 'expect' MORE than what is being sold.
lexisnexis like myfico sells info but the interpretation and how the legal aspects work in PRACTICE isn't what they do,
so when someone 'questions' what in the hell is the 'sense' I tried to explain you're paying for 1 thing and expectingf another
but like many of today's youth instead of 'hearing' what's being given you misplace advice with pettiness...
Listen to the message vs counting my post, friend if it helps you out great if not you got what you paid and you're welcome.
