Deletion success

Over the course of five months I have been working to repair the damage I did to my credit over the course of my younger years. I have had great success with goodwill letters. For example I sent a goodwill to calvary portfoilo CEO by email, he emailed me back and said they don't delete so as a reply I sent a dv letter. Yesterday checked my report Calvary collection is no longer listed. Three others agreed to delete. Thanks Fico Family. I have to admit I'm addicted to this forum. At anytime in whicxh I can get on I'm on up until the wee hours of the night trying to figure out how I can improve my credit. I am living proof that with hard work and detrermination your credit can improve. And it doesn't have to be over a years time. Within five months I went from a 483 to 664EQ, 503 TU to 619, 498 EX to 603 last checked by LO on 3/14/2009.

I love this Forum who's with me?

Re: Deletion success

Right there with you! Before I found this site, I had no idea how to clean up my mess.  But since, I've followed the advice on this forum, My scores have jumped 82  (on EQ alone) points, still not where I want to be, but it's alot better than where I was!

I owe it all to the posters and moderators here, good folks!

Re: Deletion success

Congrats on the great successes!  I too have spent many late hours on here!  So far since mid March I have accomplished the following:

NCO-DV'd & they deleted

AFNI-settled & deleted

CMI-PIF & GW-deleted

Southern Credit-PFD

Amerifinancial(??)-PFD

ACS-PFD

Capital One Auto-GW & had a 30 day late from 10/07 removed

Chase Auto-Deleted

I am now CA free!!  Cap 1 sold my 2 CO's so they are updating to 0 and I am hoping to get those last two accounts taken care of before they become TL's on my report....just not sure who owns them now.  My EQ has gone from 491 to 597 but is at 585 right now because I opened a new CC....this will help in the long run!  TU doesn't like me as I have had NO movement on that and Exp was at 626 when I started...not sure what it is now.

Who else has successes to share with the new people on here?  I love reading the success stories...gives me hope!!

Re: Deletion success

Well as of right now i do not know if my scores have climbed, in fact i know from a sw that it has gone down.  That is ok though, i have been able to get 3 out of 4 collections deleted and waiting to hear from the last one.  It is a medical debt and i sent the pre-hipaa form to the 3 CRA and have not heard back yet.  But i feel like i am making progress, no matter how small.

Shooting for new house by end of year!!!

Oh almost forgot, i was near sending a credit repair company almost $1200, then i found out that the 3 collections were going to be deleted, and decides not to pay for what i could do myself

Re: Deletion success

That is awesome that Cavalry got deleted from your report. Congrats! I just sent my DV letter to Cavalry yesterday. I hope to get the same results too!

I would be clueless without the wealth of knowledge from the posters and moderators on this site. Thanks all!

I do too!  The only think I knew to do in the past was dispute and ask for validation.  After that, if they sent none, I didnt know/understand all my rights.  This board has taught me so much in so little time.  I thank you all, and I am still learning daily!

Try sending the gw through email to the CEO once they refuse to budge reply back with debt validation. I didn't hear anything back once I sent the debt validation but once I checked my report it was gone bye bye.. And good ridden to it.

Re: Deletion success

There is a NCO/Fin account on my report I called Equifax to see who the they were collecting they couldn't give me the answer. Also asked what was the DOFD they gave me the date of last activity is that the same? Anyway I called NCO?FIN and they have closed the account and sent it back to the OC this was done in 2006 stated the NCO customer services rep. But have verified everytime I disputed the account. And has even recently reported in April of 2009. How could this be? I don't understand how and account can be listed on your report with little to no information except the name of the collection copmpany and the balance. I would like to know where do I go from here. Do I DV NCO/FIN or PIF Reliant Energy? I would like this removed it is also listed under the accounts section instead of the collection part of my credit bureau. This account has a 120 days late listed as well, Correct me if I'm wrong a collection account can not report lates right?

Re: Deletion success

Thanks charlene24. I will do that.

I have a CA account listed in the account section with 120+ late too. Hopefully someone will chime in with an answer.

Re: Deletion success

I sent a PFD for my NCO/Fin 22 collection, but disputed two weeks later.  It was deleted from all 3 reports.  About a week after that, I got a letter from NCO that said they would not accept a PFD and I have to pay the full amount.

HAHA it was already off my report because it is a bogus collection.

How can companies knowingly break the law like that and not get in trouble?
