Re: Deletion with Credit Protection Association!

Now I got Credit Protection Association to delete!!!!

I was able to get CPA to delete their tradelines from my credit reports as well!!!!  Wooooo  Hoooo!!!!  I sent them a simple, to the point GW letter, but I also disputed their tradeline with the CRA's.  I don't know exactly what happened, but what I do know is that Experian, Equifax and TU deleted that tradeline from my reports!  This is my first delete.  Hoping to add to it though!  Smiley Very Happy

Starting score: (April 2011) 530 - myFICO EQ
Current score: (04/2012) EQ - 608 (myFICO), EX FAKO - 671, TU FAKO - 619

Let's see what happens once they report minus the late payments!!!!!!

Re: Deletion with Credit Protection Association!

Hi, I've been lurking here forever, finally joining in. I too have an old CPA account, a comcast account that was briefly late in 2006, I PIF directly to comcast and never dealt with CPA, however it had already been placed with them and despite some miscommunication and the fact that I was ill at the time they will do nothing to change it. Can you PM me with some advice on how to get this resolved? I'd be grateful. Thanks in advance.

Re: Deletion with Credit Protection Association!

Finally, Credit Protection Association finally fell off of my TU along with another bad trade line and my CC util dropped to 1%. Went from 637 to 719. Woo!!!

I am now going to send the CPA information out one by one every few days to the people that have emailed me. I'm not sending it to everyone at once, otherwise you're just going to flood her with requests and its going to backfire on you. Also, Never use my name in your letters!!!!!!!!! It will only hurt your chances.

Starting: EQ: 490 TU: ??? EX: ???
Current: EQ: 717 TU: 757 EX: 736 (lender)

Re: Deletion with Credit Protection Association!

DAAAMM!  That's quite a nice jump!  NICE.

I just read on this message that a CA can put an account back on the CR's after they delete.  Has that ever happened to anybody?  Why would they do that?

Re: Deletion with Credit Protection Association!

Only if you still owed them money... Honestly, I don't see why anyone would try to get something off their credit if they actually owed the money fair and square. Its just a ticking time bomb as they say.

Re: Deletion with Credit Protection Association!

Well I stumbled upong this looking up contact info to GW Credit Protection Associ. as well- becaus I have a collection I paid- through Charter Communications.  However, I paid CHARTER for this debt - the CA is reporting that it's paid but it's still showing-  and I paid it through Charter, not the collection agency.

Hmm.......

Re: Deletion with Credit Protection Association!

I can't give too much info about how I got a very similar type of entry deleted by them but look up their officers via search and then contact one of them, I left a vague message with one in particular. I was vague and simply said in the voice message that I had an old outstanding matter with the agency and that I'd appreciate a call.
She called me shortly after, I missed her but she left a message with her email address and we actually corresponded via iPhone emailing lol. This was after Comcast (in my case) had agreed to remove but did not. She deleted it for me after a few friendly reminders over several weeks. LOL. But it can be done. Anyway you really want to go to the higher ups, whether in writing or not.
