So, last year I had some serious medical complications that landed me in the hospital for 4+ months. I was actually in a coma for 3 months. I've been getting up to date with my creditors recently and Discover seems to be the only one unwilling to remove the late payments (30, 60, and 90). I have filed complaints and explained my situation but no dice. I paid off my account (which has suspended priviledges and doesn't seem like that will ever get lifted). Is there anything I should try?
Thanks.
Sorry about your situation, glad you're okay now.
All you can do is keep sending GW requests and hope it gets removed. Discover is not famous for it, so I really wouldn't hold my breath.
While you're asking them nicely, don't file complaints because you were late. As unfortunate as your situation is, those are still legitimate lates and I wouldn't antagonize those I need something from any further.
So sorry this incident occurred. I'm not a auto pay fan due to past experiences. Although this is where it could have been a savior and avoid lates. Happy your back on your feet and enjoying life. Just a tidbit to think about. A safety measure.
I actually don't have auto pay on my Discover because prior to this I had been dealing with fraudulent charges that they continually refused to help me with. I obviously wasn't going to pay for something I don't owe. Guess I will just start sending out GW letters. Any idea of the best place to send them? Directly to corporate?
Yep. Check out ceoemail.com. Good Luck!
