Hello:
This debt is for annual maintenance fees on a timeshare that we have never used and since my job loss in 1/09 , have not been able to make the annual payments. The timeshare is paid off, but now we have this CA reporting the maintenance fees in separate accounts and as a monthly payment. Are they able to report it as a monthly payment when its an annual payment? and with different accnt. #'s when its the same creditor and one account. I dont know if having them separate or a consolidated amount in one entry would be better or worse for mine and my husband’s score. Should I dispute as duplicates? is there anything I can do..? I have already reached a settlement amount with them and I am waiting for written confirmation, they said that with payment they would update the accounts as being "satisfied"...i dont know how that would look on our reports either. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Our scores went from 720 scores to 640..
