They must update to now show paid, $0 balance. If it reports again with a balance, you can dispute, but they can simply correct the status and balance without deletion.
The CO itself stands on its own, and thus would not be part of the dispute of accuracy of current status or balance.
To dispute accuracy of the CO would require knowledge of their accounting ledger, showing they did the CO itself after the debt was satisfied.
