Dispute investigation not consistent across all three credit agencies

My attorney sent letters to all three credit reporting agencies on my negatives. Equifax removed all suntrust late payments, removed all negative information on my short sale, and deleted a paid collection. Transunion removed some of the suntrust late payments but not all and did not update anything on the short sale. The paid collection was not on this report but an unpaid one was updated to a zero balance. Experian after finally getting a human on the phone said they never received the letters. I have ordered new report by mail. Why such inconsistencies? Why can someone not validate on one bureau but validate on the others. I might break down and order again from my FICO to get my current scores. I am sure they have gone up atleast some. I just want a mortgage by September but do have a fia boa card thT had a 30 day late in dec and jan so that might hold me up even if I am ow sitting at a 620. Thoughts?

Re: Dispute investigation not consistent across all three credit agencies

Write a letter of goodwill to the bank yourself no attorney. Try calling one rep ,may say no the next yes.  You have been on the boards for awhile now so you know YMMV and it sometimes comesdown to a numbers game. Search for threads that people have GW lates with BoA. Check for new numbers to contact. Write and call Suntrust the same plan. You have a couple of months to hit paydirt so just give it your best shot. If your attorney sent a letter to EX he no doubt sent it CM RRR get that receipt and make copy of letter and send again  with new letterCM RRR.  What is the whole credit picture? Any loans good? open? closed? utilization?

Re: Dispute investigation not consistent across all three credit agencies

Yes I have a car loan in good standing but that is my husbands car we are separating so trying to get him to refinance that into his name. I guess unless that would hurt me. I have three open store cards and two closed visas. The closed ones have the late payments one is the fia card. They have balances too. Trying to pay down my utilization too of course. The store cards have no balance except for one. So I guess the answer is yes I do have some good accounts in good standing. It looks like all of my paid paid collections have come off. I have a paid hospital bill on two reports that has not budged. I have tried good willing them a few times. Also the short sale that is now on two reports as a short sale and the one collection on transunion that updated to a zero balance. I have no repossessions charge offs or anything like that.

Re: Dispute investigation not consistent across all three credit agencies

Did the attorney do the short sale yours that is and if so was there any negoitiation for it to be ommitted from reporting or just totalled to 0$ loan closed. If not GW the bank that did the short sale. The same for the others keep trying it'll come it takes a little time.  maybe have the attorney contact bank on short sale first  see if he can get letter to delete and then if not removed after the second time with letter ffrom atty. you start good willing them to death. I only use he but I know atty can be he or sheSmiley Tongue

Re: Dispute investigation not consistent across all three credit agencies

The attorney did not do the short sale a realtor did. It is bank of America. I know they are so difficult to deal with. I am off next week. Next round of goodwill letters will go out as soon as I get updated reports and I know what is left of there :-).

No do you live in the area of the Bank of America that did the short sale. Or was it in another state?

Re: Dispute investigation not consistent across all three credit agencies

LOL if your lawyer can get BofA to drop valid lates, then he/she is even better than Casey Anthony's or John Edward's.

Hopefully none of the deleted valid information will be put back on your CR by those who had a legal right to add it to your CR.

Re: Dispute investigation not consistent across all three credit agencies

I know I was shocked equifax removed what they did and of trans union removed some suntrust lates it was because they could not validate them all. Still waiting to see if I get anything off of experian
