Hi,
While applying for a home mortgage loan a few months ago, I saw my credit score drop significantly due to a charge off that was recently reported from Audi Financial Services. It was related to wear and tear on a previous lease. I changed addresses a few years ago and never received a bill in the mail (Audi updated my address for my new lease but not the old one!!). After not hearing from me..Audi eventually charged it off.
Since discovering it, I have paid the $300 bill and sent multiple letters to Audi to remove the negative item from my credit history. It was a simple misunderstanding.. and frankly bad customer services on their part!! They have denied me two times already.. do you think there is any hope here? I am on my 5th leased car with Audi, and have never missed a payment other than this one. I am hopeful that my letter just needs to get in the hands of the right person.
Seems like a bad deal if they never even notified you. Maybe you should call them and ask how bigga boy this Audi guy is. Tell him somebody's gitt'in an a$$ whup' in over this, and it won't be you!
I'd keep reaching out to them, as you mentioned it can take many attempts.
Given the circumstances of you changing addresses and continuing to be a loyal customer I'd hope you'll be successful in finding someone who is able to help.

What was the evidence of Wear & Tear, when you returned the car? Did the dealer mention Any wear & tear at that time ?.. If not .. car was their responsibility .. once you left the dealer.. When I returned leased Cadillac back to dealer, I took photos inside & outside of vehicle
