Does it count if I am an authorized user?

My mom has a Discover card with a $13,500 balance and I am an authorized user on it.  We have had the card since 1991 but have not used it since 2008.

It is not showing up in my available credit.  Is this because we haven't used it in so long?  We just made a few purchases on it (About $350 worth)  On the next credit reporting cycle, will it re-appear as available credit and is that a good thing for my 537 credit score?

Thanks!

That's very possible that the card needs a new activity to update monthly but carrying a balance should be sufficient to generate a statement each month.

If the card still does not show up at all on your end, you may have to send in all three of your credit reports by mail to Discover so they can find you.

No. Laws changed and it will only reflect on your credit score if you are a co applicant.
