Duplicate Sears accounts only on TransUnion Report

I have two Sears/CBSD accounts listed on my TransUnion credit report.  Both accounts list the same opened date and the same high credit limit.

I did have one card, which went to collections before I paid it in February of last year.

I have tried everything I know to do.  I have disputed as duplicate.  I have called Sears.  I have sent letters and faxes.  In December of 2008, a CSR instructed me to fax them a letter and include the pay off letter for the accurate account.  I did, but nothing has changed.

What am I doing wrong?

Who is reporting Sears?    Are the account #s the same?  Are they reporting paid CO?

Re: Duplicate Sears accounts only on TransUnion Report

They are being reported from two different addresses and the account numbers, which are all xxx, are different lengths.

When I first noticed them, one was still opened and the other listed as placed for collection.  I disputed them as possible duplicates because I only had one card.  Sad to say, but if I had had two, two would have gone to collections.
